This term has enjoyed recent buzzword status, as it relates to human interaction with the environment. It is an important concept that has been the catalyst for many positive changes in the way we live our lives, run our businesses and care for our families. Additionally, food, textile, automotive and travel brands have made this word a part of their regular vocabulary in an effort to increase visibility of the concept, and draw attention to their own eco-friendly ways.
One must wonder, however, if over usage of the word has actually weakened the true meaning and importance of the original concept. What exactly constitutes a sustainable product, in terms of its balance with our environment?
