During the 1970's, there were several major trends that dominated the jewelry world, including statement jewelry, layering, use of natural materials such as wood, stone, and shell or bone, and long, flowing earrings. Of course, later in the 1970s, disco ruled and flashy designs with a lot of excitement were the rage. Also popular were station necklaces with adjustable length fittings, often found with selections of tiger eye, malachite, lapis lazuli, and mother-of-pearl. Hamilton's own archives feature many of these designs, and because of demand for retro-inspired jewelry, we have re-created a collection from this era of glitz and glam.
