Louis Comfort Tiffany was one of America's most acclaimed and multi talented artists working in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
In the Metropolitan Museum's collection of American decorative art is a Favrile glass and gilt bronze picture frame in the pine bough pattern from about 1905-1920. The Tiffany Pine Bough pens are adapted from this original frame.
Each writing instrument is presented in a box with a brief description of the original design.
